SUMMER signing Angus Gunn is prepared to cut short his Nottingham Forest spell.

The 29-year-old keeper has already spoken to head coach Ange Postecoglou about the possibility of moving on in January. Yet to play for the Reds, he is not getting the game time he was expecting when he joined as a free agent on a one-year deal in August.

Brazilian John Victor arrived at the City Ground shortly after Gunn and has been preferred as backup for number one Matz Sels, in addition to being selected to start against Swansea City in the Carabao Cup. It has left the Scotland international frustrated with the situation during a World Cup year.

Gunn's only minutes so far this season have come for his country and he is in line to represent them again in upcoming games against Greece and Belarus. He is eager to play more regularly and is already considering his options ahead of the winter transfer window.
