REDEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR FORMER RAF AIRFIELD EXPECTED TO CREATE 440 JOBS
A FINAL decision has been made on a major project that could create more than 400 jobs.
Plans to transform part of a former wartime airfield into an employment zone have been formally approved by Newark and Sherwood District Council, with the development at Winthorpe, near Newark, expected to create around 440 fulltime jobs.
Developer Lindum Group's major investment was green-lit by the council’s planning committee back in September, but planning permission was only officially granted this week after the construction firm and council completed an agreement on what financial contributions the applicant needed to make.
