Dyche happy with battle for the gloves

HEAD coach Sean Dyche has underlined the importance of having a competitive goalkeeping department at Nottingham Forest.

Up until recently, Brazilian John Victor had mostly been confined to a spot on the bench as backup to Matz Sels. However, the roles have been reversed in the past two games.

Last season's golden glove winner Sels missed fixtures against Utrecht and Tottenham Hotspur through a combination of finger and groin problems. John made the most of the opportunity and retained his spot in the XI against Fulham and Manchester City, despite his teammate being available again.

Third-choice stopper Angus Gunn is also back fit after a spell on the sidelines and Dyche is happy with the group he has at his disposal. For the Reds boss, it isn't as simple as having a clear number one.
