A DRIVER in his 20s caused a head-on crash after having five pints and driving down the wrong side of the road - leaving a 19-year-old student in pain for months.
Police were called to Alfreton Road, in Selston, on June 6 last year, following reports of a crash between an Audi A3 and a Suzuki Swift.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 19-year-old woman, had suffered injuries to her neck and collar bone and was taken to hospital.
When officers arrived at 10.43pm, the driver of the Audi, Rory Helps, approached them while stumbling and slurring his words.
