Dealer sent hundreds of messages to drug addicts

HE ADVERTISED USING BULK TEXTS
A DRUIG dealer has been jailed after police uncovered an operation in which he sent out bulk text messages to addicts.
James Porter, 32, of Calderdale in Nottingham, ran a drugs line between Nottingham and Ilkeston.
Police analysis of his phone revealed he sold Class A drugs by sending out texts to addicts in the town.
The operation first came to light in 2022 when officers raided his home in Wollaton.
They found Class A drugs, cash and multiple mobile phones and Porter was charged with a number of offences.
Nottinghamshire Police's County Lines team began an investigation into the drugs line to Ilkeston last year and Porter was quickly found to be heavily involved.
