Center Parcs submits plans for upgrades to forest site

BIG things are in store at Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest this year, according to planning applications filed for the site.

The holiday destination is planning a number of changes, ranging from new attractions to upgraded accommodation.
Sherwood Forest Center Parcs spans 400 acres of forest and includes a spa and the UK's first Treetop Sauna, as well as lodges with hot tubs, shops and restaurants. Opened in 1987, it was the company's first UK village before it expanded to five more sites.
The planned changes include demolishing a former head office, now used as holiday apartments, and building a three-storey apartment building.
