FRIENDS RALLY FOR DAD-OF-TWO DEAN

- By LOUIS CORBETT

Cash appeal aims to make memories for pal facing new cancer battle

FRIENDS of a Mansfield man diagnosed with a rare stage four cancer are fundraising to create lasting memories for him and his family.

The appeal was set up by Matthew Spalding and friends to give something back to Dean Lambert, 38, after learning of his stage four illness.

Dean Lambert was born in Mansfield but now lives in Gloucester with his wife, Hayley, and their two children, Evie, eight, and Rosie, four.

Having beaten cancer twice, he has now been diagnosed with stage four sarcoma.

Dean said: "They ended up removing half of my tongue and replacing it with a skin graft off my leg, then I had to do intensive speech therapy for six months.

"But then it went down into my lung, and in 2024, I had to have part of my lung removed.
