Broken lifts and security fears at city centre flats

A RESIDENT of a city centre apartment block has criticised its management for leaving the lifts out of order for five months.

Will Tomlinson, 35, who has lived at Nottingham One, in Canal Street, since 2018, feels residents are getting poor service from building managers Rendall & Rittner.

In addition to the grounded lifts, he is also concerned about security and flood defences.

He said the lift in his block has not worked since mid-April, although Rendall & Rittner has recently assured him it will finally be fixed later this month. Another lift has reportedly been out for 11 months.

Mr Tomlinson said: "It's difficult. My lift hasn't worked since mid-April and the other ones are temperamental at best.

"My parents aren't able to visit because one of them can't go upstairs. It's frustrating.
