CHANCE creation was not an issue for Notts County but they could not convert them in their play-off first-leg defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
Meadow Lane was packed and loud for the first part of the Magpies’ League Two play-off semi-final but it was the visitors who were celebrating in the end as they won 1-0 to take a marginal advantage into Saturday's return leg (12.30pm).
It was a smash and grab of sorts for Johnnie Jackson's side, with Dons goalkeeper Owen Goodman putting in a man of the match display to keep Notts out, making five big saves in the game.
Nottingham-born centre-back Riley Harbottle headed in the only goal of the game in the second half and Alassana Jatta’s straight red card deep into stoppage time completed the misery for Stuart Maynard and his team.
