Baby loss charity benefits from Pride of Britain fund

GOOD causes all over the UK are celebrating after the Pride of Britain Fund announced winners of grants totalling more than £100,000.

The money will be given to community groups and individuals to mark the 25th year since the Pride of Britain Awards were founded by the Mirror newspaper.

The fund shortlisted from almost 2,000 applications, and communities then voted to decide which projects in their areas were most deserving of the money.

One winner from Nottingham is Sands United FC Nottingham, which will receive £500 to support its work with men hit by baby loss.

The group's Raj Chagger spoke about what the money would enable them to do.
