Attacker mutters 'get in' as she is spared a jail sentence

KNIFE-WIELDING WOMAN KICKED, PUNCHED AND STAMPED ON HER THEN PARTNER

A 45-YEAR-OLD woman who armed herself with kitchen knives and attacked her terrified partner triumphantly muttered "get in" as a judge spared her immediate custody.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Tanya Padley smashed her way into the victim's home before punching, kicking, stamping on and "slamming her head into a door frame" during the assault.

During the beating, the defendant was clutching three blades which belonged to the woman, although the prosecution accepted there was no evidence she used them.

Now she has been given a suspended sentence for her criminal actions.

Sentencing her, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: "Yours is a troubling case.

"You have had problems for many, many years, and some of those problems are not of your own making.
