Dumping insulation waste leads to hefty court fine
North Devon Journal
|July 03, 2025
A WOMAN has been fined for her role in dumping construction waste at a North Devon beauty spot.
-
Roxanne Pitteway, from Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, has been ordered to pay a total of £2,200 after spray-foam loft insulation was dumped more than 260 miles away in Ilfracombe.
The waste was left at Torrs Park between August 15 and August 16, 2024, blocking the public footpath and the car park.
The loft insulation was collected and cleared by North Devon Council, before being traced back to work carried out at an address in the town by Insulation Experts Ltd.
