Suspects arrested for house breaking and unlicensed firearm

Coligny and Lichtenburg Crime Prevention, Lichtenburg K9 and Ottosdal Detectives worked together, following information received on suspects allegedly involved in a house burglary reported on a farm 30 April in Coligny, at about 03:00. During the housebreaking, various firearms were stolen from a safe, that was mounted on a wall.

Coordinated, intelligence driven information received, led the team to a farm near Blydeville in Lichtenburg in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, 6 May. Four suspects were traced and arrested at two separate houses in the same vicinity for house burglary and theft. Two of the four suspects were allegedly also found in possession of seven stolen firearms and ammunition and were additionally charged.
