46-year-old hacked to death, police suspect past enmity in Odisha

A 46-year-old man was brutally hacked to death by unidentified miscreants outside his house in Singabadi village within Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Dillip Patra.

Police said Dillip was living alone after separating from his wife a few months ago. His elder brother is settled in Berhampur. At around 10.30 pm on Sunday, a group of villagers heading to the local temple heard screams originating from Dillip’s house. They reached the spot and found Dillip lying in a pool of blood with multiple deep cut injuries.
