Uth Beverage acquires online nutrition platform HealthXP

A company led by Samit Mehta, executive à director at drugmaker Emcure Pharma, has acquired HealthXP, an online nutrition and sports supplement brand, two people aware of the development said.

Mehta, who is also VCCIRI the son of Emcure founder Satish Mehta and brother of Shark Tank India judge and Emcure executive director Namita Thapar, made the acquisition through his company Uth Beverage Factory Pvt. Ltd, the people said requesting anonymity. Uth Beverage owns fitness supplements such as XLR8 and Six Pack Nutrition.

Financial terms of the deal couldn't be ascertained.

When contacted, Mehta confirmed the development but clarified that Uth Beverage Factory had bought the assets of Neostrong Lifecare Pvt. Ltd, which operated HealthXP. "We have bought the website and products of HealthXP and not invested in it," he said.
