TriVeda bullish on realty fund

TriVeda Capital, a residential real estate-focused alternative investment firm, expects to generate faster cash flows from its maiden fund as it plans to invest in plotted residential projects that have a shorter gestation period than high-rise apartments.
TriVeda's maiden alternative investment fund (AIF), a ₹200 crore category-II fund launched in January, has a five year tenure, unlike most vehicles with tenures of 7-10 years.
With the focus on plotted projects, especially in Bengaluru, TriVeda expects returns to start flowing within three years of investment.
"We can start liquidating at the ready because, with plotted developments, we can start generating fashionable returns within one year of close," said Raj Inamdar, a partner at the Bengaluru-based firm.
