From a steak spot to cheap eats and a no-reservations place, there are plenty of restaurants to try
A critical question for any traveler to Paris, and even some locals: What are the best places to eat? That's where we come in—to help you find the tables worth your time (and euros) in one of the most visited cities on the planet. No reservations? No problem. On a budget? We've got you. From the newest tables in Paris to business meals to budget-friendly options, here are some restaurants to try.
NEW HOTSPOT
In the heart of Paris' affluent 8th arrondissement is chef Irwin Durand's first restaurant. It's a minimalist, modern layout featuring an intimate 22-seat dining room and a more exclusive eight-seat chef's table that opens directly onto the kitchen.
The 35-year-old Guy Savoy protégé showcases terroir-focused dishes on his oft-changing tasting menus that range from three to seven courses (€68-€160, or $78-$183). Recent highlights included a palate-cleansing marjoram-infused vegetable broth; green asparagus served with lemon-thyme mayonnaise; and calf sweetbread slow-braised in reduced jus, with stewed green vegetables. Sommelier Mickaël Larrive's well-curated wine list features a strong selection of Champagnes and Burgundies.
NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED

Investors expect AI use to soar. That's not happening
An uncertain outlook for interest rates. Businesses may be holding off on investment until the fog clears. In addition, history suggests that technology tends to spread in fits and starts. Consider use of the computer within American households, where the speed of adoption slowed in the late 1980s. This was a mere blip before the 1990s, when they invaded American homes.

Can I claim TDS refund despite missing return filing deadline?
I am an NRI living in Dubai and have investments in Indian listed stocks. One of the companies I invested in, did a buyback in March, on which Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) was deducted. At that time, I was advised by a friend that I could claim a refund of TDS at the time of filing my tax return due to the benefits of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA).
