ONGC-bp to revive offshore oil field

This year, ONGC and bp signed a contract under which bp would serve as the TSP for the Mumbai High field
State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd (ONGC) expects a major recovery in crude oil output from the Mumbai High field within the next 13-14 months, as it works with UK-based energy giant bp on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) efforts.
Arun Kumar Singh, chairman and CEO of ONGC, told reporters on Friday that a study is currently underway for the planned EOR.
