New projects to breathe life into Ganga river

In the recent 58th executive committee meeting of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), the proposals regarding conservation and infrastructure development associated with the Ganga river and its aquatic ecosystems have been finalised.

Water conservation, protection of aquatic life and environmental sustainability form the thrust areas as overall conclusions that have been drawn on the proposals reviewed at the meeting chaired by Rajeev Kumar Mital, director-general NMCG.
