Machete found after man caught dealing drugs

A DRUG dealer who was seen selling cannabis to customers outside a Sports Direct store was found with a 2ft-long machete.

When searched, he was found in possession of more than 100g of cannabis which he claimed was for his own use.
Jamie Thomas, 48, was spotted by a staff member at Sports Direct in Caerphilly on April 1 exchanging packages with people who had approached him.
She told a police officer who had been called to the store in relation to an unrelated matter.
A sentencing hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on April 1 heard the defendant was approached by officers and searched.
He was found with two large clear snap bags in a shoulder bag, which was found to contain 26 snap bags of cannabis.
