Whistleblowers urged to identify 67 solon-contractors in anti-flood projects
Manila Bulletin
|August 10 2025
House Committee on Public Accounts chairman Rep. Terry Ridon (Bicol Saro Party-list) called on whistleblowers to provide proof and the specific names of the 67 lawmaker-contractors linked to flood control project corruption to substantiate their claims.
In a press conference Friday, Aug. 8, Ridon noted that the allegations there were 67 solon-contractors involved in such anti-flood projects didn't originate from the House.
“It is actually they who should give the names on whether or not they are confident that these names are really involved as contractors-legislators. Second, if they are actually involved in actual infrastructure projects. Those are two different things,” he said. “So again, and we will reiterate it today, I think it is most important for them to be able to name names,” he underscored.
