Undocumented OFWs in Saudi urged to avail of 6-month amnesty

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has urged undocumented overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia, particularly domestic workers tagged as “runaways” or “huroob,” to avail themselves of a six-month amnesty that allows them to legalize their status or return home without penalties.
DMW Undersecretary for Middle East and African Affairs Jainal Rasul Jr. said the correction period from May 11 to Nov. 10 was granted by the kingdom's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD).
