SEC fines Villar Land
Manila Bulletin
|August 22, 2025
Villar Land Holdings Corp. and its directors and officers have welcomed the opportunity to explain their side on the issues raised and will respond to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) order in due course.
This was Villar Land’s response after the SEC fined the company and its officers a total of P12 million after denying the company’s request for an extension to file required financial reports, citing repeated failure to meet deadlines.
The firm said in a statement on Thursday, Aug. 21, that it has received the SEC order, which directed Villar Land and its directors and officers to pay an administrative fine of P12 million in lieu of the suspension of its registration statement and permit to offer and sell securities, and an administrative fine of P2,000 for each day of delay from July 1, 2025, until the submission of Villar Land’s annual report and first-quarter 2025 quarterly report.
