QC gov’t warns against rising dengue cases

Dengue cases in Quezon City have reached 6,872 from January 1 to August 18, with 23 deaths reported, according to the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD).

The number is 155 percent higher than in the same period last year.

Most of those affected are children aged 10 years old and below, with 3,407 cases, while 1,957 cases are among those aged 11 to 20.

Over 750 cases were recorded among individuals aged 21 to 30, and 758 among residents above 30.
