Pasig is 1st LGU in NCR to localize DILG's 'Tangguyob' disaster resilience platform

With Metro Manila prone to disasters such as earthquakes and flooding, the Pasig City government has been recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as the first local government unit (LGU) in the National Capital Region (NCR) to localize "Tangguyob," a platform designed to foster knowledge-sharing and strengthen partnerships among stakeholders in building a more more disasterresilient Metro Manila.

The city localized Tangguyob through the "DRRM Partners' Convergence: Heeding the Call of Tangguyob, Bridging Partnerships, Empowering Communities."

"In Pasig City, we heed the sound of the Tangguyob that represents a call for unity, preparedness, and collaboration in the face of disasters and emergencies," the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said.
