Marcos opens new segment of Pasig River Esplanade

President Marcos inaugurated a new segment of the Pasig River Esplanade from Manila Central Post Office to Arroceros Park.
Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the inauguration of the 530-meter segment of the esplanade in Manila on Sunday night, Oct. 19.
Completing the new portion of the scenic esplanade, Marcos said, "is a reminder that progress does not always mean building something new."
"Sometimes, progress means bringing something beautiful back to life," he said.
"Only seven months after opening Phase 3 along Intramuros, we now see Phase 4 of the Pasig River Urban Development Project," he added.
The newly-developed segment of the Pasig River Esplanade extends the existing 1.1-kilometer scenic esplanade from Fort Santiago to Arroceros Park.
Marcos said the 530-meter stretch "is being reborn into a vibrant riverside space featuring walkways, bike lanes, and commercial areas."
