Japan OKs ¥1.7-B aid to PH for rice processing system

Japan has allocated ¥1.7-billion assistance to the Philippines for the establishment of a rice processing system in Cauayan, Isabela.

Japanese Embassy Chargé d'affaires Ad Interim Ono Sho and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Maria Theresa Lazaro signed and exchanged notes for the project on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The project aims to enhance the agricultural capabilities of the country by reducing post-harvest losses, promoting a more efficient rice value chain.
