Jaecoo J7 SHS ready to battle hybrid heavyweights

A new SUV hopes to raise customers' expectations of what to expect from a car. The Jaecoo J7 SHS officially debuted in the Philippines recently, packed with Super Hybrid technology, versatility in various driving environments, and innovative in-car tech and features.

As the name suggests, the Jaecoo J7 is not just an ordinary hybrid, it's a plugin hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). It's powered by a 1.5TDGI hybrid-dedicated engine, capable of returning 24.4 km/L fuel consumption. It's paired with an intelligent hybrid system and a high-performance 18.3-kWh battery pack. The result is a total system output of 275-PS and 365-Nm of torque.

Power is routed through its Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) that can intelligently switch based on vehicle speed, to balance power output and fuel consumption. This allows the J7 to seamlessly switch between EV and hybrid mode as needed, constantly adjusting to deliver the best combination of power, efficiency, and performance.
