Filipinos among the victims in New York bus crash

Several Filipinos were confirmed to be among the casualties in a tourist bus crash along New York's I-90 highway, according to state police reports relayed by the Philippine Consulate General in New York.
The Consulate said in a statement that it was “actively monitoring the situation”, and was ready to assist victims and their families.
“New York State Police have reported that several of the casualties are Filipino nationals,” it said on Saturday, Aug. 23 (Manila time).
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this incident,” it added.
