|July 13 2025
As the Philippines prepares to host the ASEAN Summit in 2026, the private sector-led ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) expressed their readiness and commitment to collaborate in strengthening ASEAN's economic future.
-
"The Philippines is open for business. We are ready to listen, engage, and co create with you, DTI Secretary Cristina Roque told the ASEAN-BAC chairs during the inaugural ASEAN-BAC Retreat held last July 7, 2025, in Makati City. “We in the government recognize the vital role of the ASEAN BAC in shaping regional policies from a business perspective,” she said.
“Your insights are grounded in the realities of doing business in Southeast Asia, representing not just the large corporations, but also the dreams and aspirations of small entrepreneurs trying to thrive across borders,” Roque said.
