The announcements spotlighted a new direction for the company, long known for its PCs and monitors, as it ventures deeper into AI-powered personal devices and connected ecosystems.
Acer Gadget, a subsidiary of Acer Inc., introduced two notable wearable devices. The Acer FreeSense Ring, built from lightweight titanium alloy, is designed to deliver continuous biometric tracking, including heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep patterns. Data collected by the ring is processed by a companion app that generates AI-driven health insights, encouraging users to make proactive lifestyle choices. With no subscription required for full data access, the FreeSense Ring positions itself as a practical yet premium daily wellness tool.
