ACEN backs Quezon North wind project

Ayala-led ACEN Corp. announced that it has provided a ₱900-million loan for its subsidiary, Giga Ace 6 Inc. (GA6), to pursue its development for a new wind power project.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Thursday, Oct. 2, ACEN said it has inked a shortterm loan deal with GA6 to fund phases one and two of its Quezon North wind power project.

The project, which has about 553 megawatts (MW) worth of projected capacity, is expected to wrap up its first phase of construction by the fourth quarter of 2026. Its subsequent phase will then be scheduled sometime between 2027 and 2028.
