360 PBBM appointees to go through CA in last 2 weeks of 19th Congress

Some 360 President Marcos appointees are awaiting confirmation from the Commission on Appointments (CA), thus ensuring a hectic final two weeks for the bicameral body in the 19th Congress.
CA Assistant Minority Leader and Surigao del Sur 2nd district Rep. Johnny Pimentel said five separate CA committees will convene on June 3 and 4 to begin deliberations on the qualifications of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s key appointees.
Congress (The House of Representatives and the Senate) is coming off a four-month recess that included the conduct of the mid-term 2025 elections. Sessions of both chambers will resume Monday, June 2.
“We are set to tackle the confirmation of 360 appointees and nominees in the coming days,” Pimentel announced.
