Rash's history of falling foul with the boss

MARCUS Rashford has already been punished for breaking one of Hansi Flick’s rules at Barcelona - and it’s not the first time the United loanee has found himself in hot water with a boss.

- By KASRA MORADI

The forward, at Barcelona until the end of the season, started Sunday's La Liga clash with Getafe on the bench, despite his goal-scoring heroics against Newcastle in midweek.

A report claims he arrived late to training on the morning of the game, with his lack of punctuality leading manager Flick to make the ruthless decision. The German has a policy of not selecting players to start a game if they are late to training or a meeting, with the likes of Raphinha, Jules Kounde and Inaki Pena having made similar errors in the past.

But there was no lingering animosity between the England international and Flick as he came on at halftime at the Estadi Johan Cruyff with his side 2-0 up, courtesy of a Ferran Torres double.

Rashford replaced Raphinha and instantly responded to being dropped by assisting Dani Olmo after just 17 minutes on the field. His tally since joining the Catalans now stands at two goals and two assists. But he will want to address his tardiness if he is to impress Flick and seal a permanent transfer to Barcelona next summer.

Here we take a look at Rashford’s historic disciplinary issues.
