'CONSTANT AMBITION' OF VILLA DRIVES RASH MOVE
Manchester Evening News
|February 04, 2025
MARCUS Rashford has claimed the 'constant ambition' shown by Aston Villa is what attracted him to move to Villa Park on loan from United.
Villa announced the arrival of Rashford on Sunday evening, confirming they have signed him on loan for the remainder of the season.
It is understood they will initially cover at least 75 per cent of his £325,000 weekly salary.
Villa also have the option to sign the England international on a permanent basis this summer. His switch to Villa Park marks the first time he has represented any other club than United in his career.
Having been frozen out by Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford in recent weeks, Rashford will be keen to make up for lost time in the Midlands.
He has joined a club that is currently eighth in the Premier League table and recently progressed to the Champions League last 16.
