ALEXANDRA PROUD TO UNVEIL 'STUNNING' MURAL TRIBUTE

POP and musicals star Alexandra Burke unveiled a huge new musicals-themed mural to celebrate the National Lottery surpassing £700m of funding to arts organisations across Greater Manchester.

Alexandra was suitably impressed with the vast and colourful artwork that has been created at the Corn Exchange in Manchester, saying: “It's absolutely stunning.”
It includes images inspired by hit musicals like Wicked, Miss Saigon, Paddington, Mamma Mia as well as a nod to Alexandra herself who is set to star in the new Chaka Khan musical I'm Every Woman in the West End.
The National Lottery commissioned artist Itaewon to create the mural to celebrate both local creativity and its iconic Big Night of Musicals - the UK's annual musical theatre showcase, which returned to Manchester at the AO Arena last night for its fifth consecutive year.
They say the artwork stands as a colourful tribute to the role National Lottery players continue to play in supporting the arts.
