AFTER a prosperous 2024 the next chapter of Macclesfield Ladies Cricket began at the weekend.
A newly-promoted 1st XI travelled to sunny Woodley who we faced for the first time with no insight or indication of their ability and experience.
With a new league also brings upon new rules with the number of overs increasing from 20 to 30 overs.
We arrived at a very hilly ground with a long offside boundary with an opposing short leg side boundary that we tactically used to our advantage.
Newly appointed head coach Stewart led the team warm-up that best prepared us for the game ahead.
Captain Michelle Lloyd won the toss and elected to field first.
