PERMISSION has been given to site a 25m phone mast on agricultural land in the green belt.

Icon Tower Infrastructure can locate the pole which will have six antennas at Clarke Lane, in Bollington.
Cheshire East Council ruled that although there would be harm to the green belt this would only be minor and outweighed by an improvement to communication systems.
The mast is needed to replace an existing one that is attached to a pylon but unsuitable for the necessary upgrade of equipment to host 5G technology.
