Choir makes appeal for men to hit the high notes

AN APPEAL has been made for men who are ready to hit the high notes in a bid to raise charity money.

Poynton Male Voice Choir (PMVC) has launched Sing for Life - a campaign to recruit 30 members to perform at a gala concert on October 11.

Once the group has been put together they will have six weeks preparation under the guidance of musical director Eileen Rigg and accompanist Kath Buckley.

Participants do not necessarily need prior experience before practice, which begins on September 1, just a willingness to 'get out of their comfort zone'.

Proceeds from Sing for Life will go to Prostate Cancer UK.
