Amazon's updated Kindle Scribe is a simple yet effective note-taking tool

ONE thing I learned during my month-long test of Amazon's new note-taker, the Kindle Scribe, is that my handwriting is now appalling.

When this happened, I can't say, as I've barely picked up a pen or pencil for years. My aching wrists after about 10 seconds of doodling on the Scribe's 10.2in screen are testament to that.

These are both limitations of mine, of course, and nothing to do with the device itself.

What's new over the 2022 first iteration of the Scribe is a slightly different external design - white, more paper-like bezels around the 300ppi screen, and a new colour option, which is a very appealing metallic jade.

Aside from that, the new Scribe is very much like the old Scribe. Even the 12-week battery life is the same.
