Neighbours told: Don't look out of windows' after gunman opens fire

RESIDENTS were told to ‘stay quiet and not look out of the window’ after a gunman opened fire outside their homes.

Police are hunting a man after shots were fired in Albert Road, Levenshulme, at around midnight yesterday. In the run-up to the ‘targeted’ shooting, police say a vehicle was damaged by two men – one of whom was armed with a suspected gun.

Officers said the males were then seen chasing a third male, believed to be aged in his 20s. No arrests have been made and no injuries have been reported.

One woman, who lives near to the scene, said she dialled 999 after her mother saw two men – one of whom had a gun and another a machete – chasing after another man.
