Major incident declared after 'hazardous materials' found
A MAN has been charged under the Explosive Substances Act after 'hazardous materials' were found in a house.
A major incident was declared following the discovery on Middleton Road in Reddish, Stockport, on Thursday.
Bomb disposal experts, police officers, paramedics and firefighters responded.
Residential homes were evacuated and a huge cordon was put in place.
Police first searched the house after receiving intelligence about the manufacture of illegal fireworks.
