Religious group bids to buy church

|July 02, 2025
A RELIGIOUS group has launched a bid to buy a historic Leicestershire church to prevent it being “turned into flats or a cafe”.
-
Those involved say they want Holy Trinity Church restored so it can be “filled with life” once again.
The former church, in Loughborough’s Rutland Street, is being eyed up by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Parish in Loughborough after spending more than a decade in rented premises.
The Grade II-listed building was built in 1878 and is “rich with architectural and spiritual significance”, according to the RCCG.
