Local residents get 50 per cent ticket offer for celebration event

2025 marks 200 years since the dawn of rail travel in the UK, and the Great Central Railway, in partnership with the Great Central Railway Nottingham, is celebrating by offering local residents a massive 50% off ticket prices for their Railway 200 Celebration Weekend, to be held on Saturday July 5 and Sunday July 6.

This family-friendly event brings railway history to life across six incredible heritage sites, linked by vintage train and bus, and packed with exciting attractions.
Visitors can ride behind steam and diesel locomotives, explore historic stations, and step back through time with heritage displays, reenactments, hands-on activities and much more.
To celebrate this landmark anniversary, local residents living in NG, LE, and selected DE postcode areas can enjoy a special offer of 50% off ticket prices for the event.
