ARMY triathlete Nerys Jones, who runs for Taf Running and Orienteering, showed her Kona preparations are on target by completing a gruelling training exercise as she covered the full Ironman distance over three days on Tenby’s Long Course Weekend.

Nerys warms up in style for her Hawaii adventure

Jones qualified for the World Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii, in Ironman Wales 2024, over the same swim, bike and run routes as those which she took on over the Long Course Weekend.

She travels to Hawaii in September for this prestigious event.

Jones had a pleasing third place in the women's field with an aggregate time of 10 hours 44 minutes.
