A ballot was held which saw 91% of the votes in support of it, meaning the BID, called Ymlaen Llanelli, will renew in April next year and run until March 2031.

In a BID scheme, eligible businesses within a defined area of a town or city centre pay a small percentage of their rateable value on top of business rates every year for five years. This money raised is then spent by the BID management team to improve the town centre and put on events in the area.
