Tributes paid after biker dies in crash

TRIBUTES have been paid to a man who died after a crash in Vauxhall on Wednesday night.

At around 7pm on Wednesday, Merseyside Police received a report that a Volkswagen ID3 car had been in collision with an AJS Highway Star motorbike at the junction of Vandries Street and Waterloo Road.

Emergency services, including North West Ambulance Service and the air ambulance, attended, but the motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man from Liverpool, died at the scene.

Following enquiries a 24-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving.
