Takeaway fined £80k for hiring illegal staff

A MERSEYSIDE Chinese takeaway was fined £80,000 for employing people illegally.

New Oriental Stir Fry on Queen Street in Tranmere, Birkenhead, offers a wide range of Chinese food. According to its website, the takeaway "serves some of the best Chinese food in noodles, soup, duck, and curry dishes."

It added: "Our chefs are well known for their excellent Chinese cuisine, when it comes to food we are experts in choosing the colour, aroma, flavour, and taste. We believe food is not only taste but also a work of art for its aesthetic value."
