FORMER BLUES DEFENDER TACKLES THE TALKING POINTS

Michael Ball

(hare David Moyes' ons at Anfield)

I completely share David Moyes' derby frustrations at Anfield.

ONCE again at Anfield, we had a referee who just wouldn't let the game go.

I had the same conversation about the referee for the Aston Villa match, Simon Hooper, who was stop-start, stop-start.

Unfortunately, Darren England was the same for the derby, I've never seen a player booked before for taking a quick free-kick. Also, Jack Grealish and the manager were both open and honest about the amount of stoppage time - or lack of it - after six substitutions.

That was a head-scratcher, but we can't be looking for excuses because the way we started that game, we didn't deserve anything. Liverpool were much the better side.

'what if?' moment.
