KILLER EXTRADITED TO PORTUGAL
A KILLER who stabbed his roommate to death has been extradited to Portugal after a huge European manhunt.
William Hunter, formerly of West Derby, was given a 16-year prison sentence in 2023 for murdering Elliot Mulligan in an Albufeira apartment in 2022.
Hunter, now 34, lodged an appeal against the Portuguese court's judgment and, while awaiting the outcome, was released on bail on a technicality in April 2024.
